The design engages local references of the land on a rather dark , northern side of the valley with steep slopes and rocky ground .
Bare aluminum mesh creates the façade and allows for daylight to refract through the metal.To allow for views to the valley and a mediaeval castle, as well as to capture the morning sun, glazing was placed in the four corners of the reflecting cube.
In the basement, the entrance , office and garage are located . The living area at the main level opens to a large terrace window and to the edge of the forest with access to a forest path .
